The Future of Hi-Fi is here with Naim & REL...

On Wednesday 14th of November between the hours of 5pm and 8pm Audio T Swindon will be joined by Rel & Naim on a Future Of Hi-Fi event. 

Naim's 'The Future of Hi-Fi' event is to show off their Streaming products as well as to demonstrate the significant performance gains that the new 'Discreet Regulator Upgrades' bring to their already great power supplies.

Rel will also be there showing their amazingly musical subwoofers and the gains that can be had by intergrating them into a stereo system.

Chord Company Digital Open Day

Stunning seismic slimline Sonos SUB

An impressive new arrival in our store is the amazing Sonos SUB.  The design breaks with the usual subwoofer conventions, as you can see above, and is housed in a smart gloss black cabinet 38cm wide x 40.2cm high....

                                           ....and is only 15.8cm wide

                                                                              Two class D digital amplifiers power the two face to face drive units within the central aperture ensuring tightly controlled deep bass whilst cancelling forces to eliminate cabinet vibration.

Yamaha RXV 673 wins What HiFi group test.

We have always loved Yamaha AV here but it is great to see it getting the recognition it deserves from the press.

Good Vibrations...

We've just had our first good listen to the NEW SONOS Wirelss SUB.

It is designed in such a way that the two bass drivers (that face one another) cancel out any un-wanted vibration through the rather nice looking cabinet resulting in nothing but good clean bass.

The wireless SUB is designed to work and seemlessly intergrate with all SONOS amplified products, Such as the PLAY:3, PLAY:5 & CONNECT:AMP.

Pioneer SC LX76 and Pioneer SC LX86 amplifiers have arrived!

We have just taken delivery of the Pioneer LX76 AV amplifier and the flagship LX86 amplifier into our Brentwood store.

Both amps offer 9.2 Surround sound and have Apple AirPlay built in.

The SC LX86 is THX Ultra2 Plus certified (for larger rooms) and the SC LX76 is THX Select2 Plus certified (for smaller rooms).

Both amps have twin HDMI outputs to drive a flat panel TV and Projector if needed. Both offer iphone/android phone remote control apps as well.

Currently we have the LX86 on demostration with a KEF R Series home cinema sound system in a configuration with 2 Velodyne EQ Max8 Subwoofers.

AV Amps - Do you need all those bells and whistles?

Let us introduce you to Anthem AV amps. Home cinema amplifiers from Canada that concentrate on the main reason for having an AV amp, top quality movie sound tracks.

They may be missing some of the periphery functions of their Japanese countparts but when it comes to sound quality they are the best we have heard by far.

They have all the important features like several HDMI inputs and upscaling, Dolby and DTS HD sound processing, and some of the best room correction processing on the market.

The entry level Anthem MRX-300 (£1099) has 80 watts per channel but sounds more gutsy than amps with a claimed wattage twice that. The MRX-700 (£2099) has 120 watts per channel and if you want more power output they have a range of power amps that can be added to give huge power.
