After the success of the wireless LS50, KEF have released a smaller, less expensive model called the LSX, and at £1000 they are a very attainable price.

Available in a range of funky colours including Red (pictured above) Green, Blue, White and Black.

They have most of the functionality of the LS50 wireless but have the advantage over the LS50 of not needing the ethernet cable joining the two speakers, making them wireless other than the mains cables.

You have the option of directly connecting other devices via an optical or analogue cable, and you can also add an active subwoofer for extra bass if you wish. The wireless options include Bluetooth, Tidal and Spotify streaming and playing from a UPNP hard drive.

You use the same combo of apps as the LS50 wireless. The KEF Control app is for setting the speakers up and changing inputs, and the Stream app for playing UPNP, Tidal or Spotify.

The LSX sound surprisingly full, especially considering their compact size. Why not come in and have a listen and judge for yourself.
