The last few days have mostly consisted of us running in and listening to the NEW Cyrus Phono Signature. What can say other than " WOW " .

Late last week we took delivery of the long and eagerly awaited Phono Signature from Cyrus who believe it or not are no stranger to phono pre amplifiers since the launch of their first audiophile phono stage (the aEQ7) back in 1998.

Now, as good as the old Cyrus aEQ7 was back in the 90's, It simply doesn't compare to the new Cyrus Phono Signature!

On listening to the Phono Signature as we're running it in, the first thing that hits you is the noise floor or lack of it!.. The back ground in the music is inky black and quiet as it should be, giving the peice of music a huge dynamic range at it's disposal and allowing the music to be emotionally involving. This is a quality that VERY few phono pre amplifiers have and is only really acheivable by using top quality components and being able to perfectly match the Phono Signature to the cartridge, and with a huge 160 possible combinations of adjustments, you should be able to do just that!

The truly amazing thing about the new Phono Signature (apart from added benefit of a IR remote allowing for on the fly adjustments to ensure that the LP being played is sounding its best) is the fact that you can have up to four turntables connected at any one time and all be setup for whichever cartridge you choose. This is something else you rarely see in other phono pre amplifiers. So those of you who have multiple turntables will no longer need to keep plugging and unplugging from one turntable to another to listen to other tone arm and cartridge combinations.

The Cyrus owners of you would of spotted that the Phono Signature also has a PSX-R input. By connecting a PSX-R2 you will improve the audio quality even more as the highly regulated DC power supply feeds the signal amplification.
