The New Ruark R4 Mk3 Integrated Portable Music System has been carefully re-engineered to make it better than ever.

The R4 Mk3 offers high quality DAB and FM tuners. It also now incorporates a DAB+ Tuner. This ensures that it will be fully compatible with the upgrades that are due to the DAB broadcasting systems in 2016.

The new CD drive is compatible with all standard music CDs and CDRs encode with WAV, MP3. AAC nad WMA Files.

The R4 Mk3 features Bluetooth with aptx audio technology allowing streaming to the R4 from compatible devices at CD sound quality. It will work with most smartphone/ tablet audio applications and music streaming services such as Spotify.

To the rear of the R4 is a USB playback port for MP3, AAC and WMA files. This will also act as a convenient charger for most mobile devices. Two analogue inputs and a digital optical input are also provided. The R4 will even work as a very high quality TV sound bar.

As the R4 Mk3 comes from a manufacturer that originally designed loudspeakers great importance is taken with cabinet design, drive unit technology and materials used to ensure that optimum sound quality is achieved.

On listenimg we have found that the new R4 Mk3 is a significant improvement over the previous R4.

Bass extension is weighty and extended with no hint of boom, this is partly do to the provision of an integrated active sub woofer. The mid range is extremely open and the top end is smooth and extended with no hint of harshness. The R4 really does offer a room filling sound that belies its size.
