150 watts of power means excellent control over most 5.1 sub sat speaker packages upto entry level floorstanding 5.1 systems. Yamaha's RXV677 is a 7.2 capable AV Receiver which means you can run up to 7 speakers with 2 subs or alternatively bi-amp a larger set of front left & right channels with the extra 6th & 7th speaker terminals.
